Vicryl Rapid
Ethicon VICRYL Rapid is the fastest absorbable suture. It is braided for easy handling and secure knot tying. VICRYL Rapid has gone through special coating for quick absorption and for smooth passage through tissue and easy knot tie down. The suture is synthetic for minimal tissue reaction.

VICRYL Rapide suture typically falls off 7-10 days postoperative or can be wiped off subsequently with gauze. Normally the removal of the suture is not required.

Indications
VICRYL Rapide is intended for use in soft tissue approximation where only short term wound support is required and where the rapid absorption of the suture would be beneficial.
Typical areas of use include:
- Skin closure, cuticular or subcuticular
- Episiotomies
- Closure of oral mucosa
- Conjunctival sutures in ophthalmic surgery
